However, it's best to avoid submerging it in water, especially in chlorinated pools or hot tubs, as the chlorine can damage the gold and any adhesive used for the clay beads. To keep your bracelet in good condition, it's advisable to remove it before swimming or bathing. To take care of your jewelry, avoid exposing it to chlorine from swimming pools and hot tubs, as it can damage the metal and cause brittleness, especially in 18kt gold. Showering, sweating, and the buildup of lotions and sunscreen can create abrasive residue between links, leading to faster wear.
